Malign tumors of the uterus

About

Oncogynecology is considered one of the important branches of clinical oncology. According to statistics, the number of women suffering from oncogynecological diseases is increasing every year. The most common malignant gynecological tumors among women in the world are cervical and uterine cancer. On average, each year more than 600,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer, and more than 410,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer, more than 340,000 women die from cervical cancer, and about 100,000 women die from cervical cancer. On the other hand, along with the increase in the incidence of these pathologies in recent years, the process is often detected in late stages. This shows that the problem of cervical and uterine cancer is of great importance from both the medical and socio-economic point of view. Therefore, the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of oncogynecological diseases are among the priority areas in the fight against malignant tumors, and require the training of personnel with modern scientific knowledge in the field of oncogynecology. This is possible thanks to the constantly updated literature on oncogynecology. Therefore, we considered it necessary to write educational textbook about cervical and uterine cancer.

The textbook includes clinical anatomy of the uterus and cervix, epidemiology of cervical and uterine cancer, etiology, pathogenesis, pathological anatomy, metastasis, classification by stages, diagnosis, treatment, etc. are broadly interpreted on the basis of world literature and our personal experience, as well as information on relatively rare histological types of uterine sarcomas and malignant tumors of the cervix. The textbook is illustrated with numerous pictures, tables and graphs. Most of the images presented in the book were obtained during our clinical experience.
